This iPhone 5 Replacement Part Confirms Physical Home Button

With the iPhone 5 launch steadily approaching, resellers have started selling parts online. Today, Data Connector Charger Port Flex Cable and Speaker Earpiece Replacement Part for iPhone 5 have surfaced on sw-box, an online parts wholesaler. These lower dock assembly parts look legitimate enough to warrant mention.

So about this iPhone 5 Data Connector Charger Port Flex Cable Replacement Part. It’s legit. Just holding it in our hands we were awed by the quality construction and the obvious aura of high tech it emanated. It’s similar to the iPhone 4 Data Connector Charger Port Flex Cable Replacement Part, but on a microscopic level, it’s superior.

These iPhone 5 replacement parts shows some superficial physical differences when compared against the iPhone 4 model, however. First to be noted is the presence of home button connector (see encircled image above), which debunks earlier claims that Apple might drop physical button in next iteration in favor of capacitive Home button to create extra space. The other replacement part ‘speaker earpiece’ part looks similar to iPhone 4.

Since Apple is rumored to introduce two new iPhone handsets in mid-October – cheaper iPhone 4S and upgraded iPhone 5, these iPhone 4 look-alike parts might slot-in for iPhone 4S model. But the site claims that these are for fifth generation iPhone device.

Yesterday, iPhone 4S/5 Logic Board, metal chassis and back cover of prototype iPhone 5 cropped up insinuating a lot of design changes. But no one confirmed whether these leaked parts are for cost effective iPhone 4S or for iPhone 5 handset. There’s been disagreement in past over whether the new iPhone would present a major revamp. Well the real picture will come in few weeks from now.
